Help Kara-Leigh do good work in Kenya

I am excited to go on my first volunteer trip with Developing World Connections this summer. I will be going to Kenya July 7 to 21, 2018 with my sister, my mom and my son. I am asking my generous friends for donations to make this project a success. No donation is too small and any donations over $20.00 will receive a tax receipt. I will write each of your names on a gratitude card and take your generosity with me on this amazing journey. Please help me succeed.

About the Campaign

We will be building a vegetable garden and water harvesting structure for 315 children at Naro Moru’s Manyatta Primary school who only get one meal a day. The structure helps to water the garden and create better sanitation. It also helps keep kids in school during the rainy season as it catches the rain before it floods the classrooms, and provides drinking water. People living there are the poorest in the country and have limited access to basic needs.

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life breathed easier because you lived. This is to have succeeded.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
