Darling Friends and Family, I have been on a challenging and rewarding spiritual service journey for the past few years. It has brought me to Seminary in New York City, a double Chaplain residency at UCLA, and now I am hoping to return for a second trip to Sri Lanka. I first travelled there in 2017 with TRIP Canada and Developing World Connections. With the group of volunteers and local workers we repaired an incredibly important community Buddhist Temple and continued an addition to an orphanage. The theme for that trip was “Everything Is Sore Except My Heart.” I was physically challenged while I fell in love with the people I met and worked with and the beautiful land of Sri Lanka. As soon as I left, I promised myself that I would return with TRIP Canada as soon as possible. My first trip was fully supported by fundraising and thank you yet again to all who donated. It felt incredibly special to have my friends and family backing me on a trip that took me so far away from home. It felt like all of you were there with me. So please join me again for my second trip to Sri Lanka! Anything you are able to contribute is appreciated. Thank you.
